I honestly don't know where you folks get this idea from. A conservative Republican can win the presidency just as easily as Romney if they pound home the issues that matter most to people and right now that is the economy and sound fiscal policy. A lot of very conservative Republicans got elected to Congress and governorships last year running on better economic policies and less government interference, yet amazingly the politicos and party establishments would have you believe that never happened.
Everyone assumes Romney is the best candidate because he is a so called moderate, but you folks aren't taking into consideration that there are plenty of people out there who are sick of voting for the status quo and that might actually make Romney the least electable candidate if that is what he is perceived to be.
RP couldn't beat Obama on his best day. Obama's campaign machine would shred Paul's isolationist approach to foreign affairs. We can't put the toothpaste back in the tube now, there would be a major ripple effect in the world.
Obama can say whatever he wants to say. All Ron Paul has to do is explain NDAA and the patriot act on national tv during prime time and it is game over. The socialist dictator is going down, hell I could beat Obama.
