It seems that as long as one side or the other are present in any meaningful numbers; there will never be any “civility”. The lines have been drawn. And both sides ideologies are diametrically opposed, which leaves no room for compromise. If we ever return to anything approaching civility, neither end of the spectrum will have had anything to do with it.
There is always room for compromise if the parties involved are willing to drop their egos, and admit that there may be solutions other than those to which they are married. It seems that as long as one side or the other are present in any meaningful numbers; there will never be any “civility”. I think it’s becoming a bit more than that. Many on both sides don’t want to compromise. They see the existence of the opposition, as an obstacle to bringing their vision for the future of this nation to fruition. Each side wants their change. And they want it NOW! And the last thing they want are any loose ends that can come along later and undo it, like Trump has had to do with Obama’s handiwork. There is always room for compromise if the parties involved are willing to drop their egos, and admit that there may be solutions other than those to which they are married. It seems that as long as one side or the other are present in any meaningful numbers; there will never be any “civility”. That's all this is. Narcissism. Fueled by those on each end who have a vested professional interest in this mess.

Seems appropriate to me. A bit easy imoThis is not an appropriate punishment for a female punk disrespecting the president and the decorum of the capital building but it is a step in the right direction. She should have been fired on the spot with a presser saying this kind of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated from any side.
Hassan intern caught on video swearing at Trump won't be fired | New Hampshire
Yeah because who on Earth thinks freedom of speech should be allowed in the United States Capital Building? Poor orange snowflake might have his feelwings hurt hearing the truth.
So we shouldn't have rules for conduct in our Capital? What if someone yelled a racist name at Obama. That would have been ok?
You're joking, right?
Trump does the same damn thing..
N.H. Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley responded: Between their heartless attempts to kick millions off of health insurance to Trump's racist policy of locking up children in cages, it is the Republican Party that has created a culture of hate," he said.
...our democracy...
