A Price For Socialism

It has been proven in time and time again. That Socialism doesn't work.

But what do they know? (Other than promoting Socialism as if it was the best thing since sliced bread.)

Venezuela is a federal republic.

Thank Goodness, we got a leftist like FDR instead of some right winger.

FDR modified the big government programs of the 19th century to work in the 20th w/o a frontier to give away as welfare.

He also saved us from some socialist revolution IMO.
the right wing prefers to invade foreign nations.

/—-/ Ever notice the people who impose socialism on others are the biggest proponents but not the ones who have to live under it?

Neither does Capitalism in its pure form.

So, competition in its form doesn't work either?

"The four factors are entrepreneurship, capital goods, natural resources, and labor. The owners of capital goods, natural resources, and entrepreneurship exercise control through companies. The individual owns his or her labor."

I believe that true Capitalism works in order for companies (like small businesses) to compete with others. (I was just naming one reason. Of course, there are numerous.)

Competition has nothing to do with capitalism only.

You only mentioned three factors...

Maybe the "competition" is too stiff for them to deal with, I don't know. Lol

Over 100k Americans migrated to the USSR for a better form of govt. in 1932 alone. One by the name of Koch went to the USSR to use a little technique he had developed called fracking to drill the oilfields of Russia...

Socialism doesn't work.

Neither does Capitalism in its pure form. You end up with a pay to play government some weird sharecropping fuedal state.

Want to argue awhile about the 80/20 or 79/21 split that works the best?
Unlike your post the previous poster gave an example [proof really] of socialism not working, it is certainly working in America, give us all the proof you can think of where capitalism is not/has not worked/working

Nope. Notice competition and capitalism are different words.

Capitalism w/o some regulation ends up with money making money and a ruling monopoly.

Now you can obviously go too far with regulations also.

Oh yeah, consider the patent office is a form of regulation also so if we are talking some fantasy pure capitalistic world that doesn't exist either.

Great, 100k folks migrated TO Stalin's Russia in 1932?

Well, at least they were able to help fight the Germans directly in the summer of 41 I suppose.

I am talking some strange pure capitalism w/o even the patent office or anything. What we have is not pure capitalism.

I'm adamantly opposed to socialism, but this argument has always seemed really weak to me. For every Venezuela there's a Sweden. And million different reasons why it might work in one locale, but not another. Reasons that have nothing to do with economic ideology.

some people retire from the military. applied socialism is how the military operates.
