A national Hispanic GOP group is calling for Herman Cain to drop his presidential candidacy after he proposed curbing illegal border crossings with a giant electrified wall next to a moat filled with alligators. (Try writing that sentence without laughing.) Somos Republicans says it'd expect Cain, who touts himself as a problem solver, "would know that problems are solved not by treating symptoms but by addressing root causes."
Their release is worth reading in its entirety, but here's a snippet:

"Not a "practical solution" to the immigration problem? "Practical" has proven not to have worked.
If Cain is serious, he has my 2012 vote.
This is as serious as I've heard in 50 years.
