A different problem for you

Am I writing my paper on my own?
If I'm writing an important thesis and I'm really nervous and my parents notice that and they say 'just send your teacher anything' and I do, is it ethically wrong? Does this mean I did not write it on my own?
I mean if I relax a bit and stop caring that much and send something a little worse than I could write without hearing something like this (and other advice) from my parents?
It's just that they influenced what I wrote, they did not write anything for me but... I don't know...
It's just that I'm scared of not writing my paper on my own (I really want to be ethically and morally right here).

asker, are your folks telling you what to write? If not, and you aren't copying anyone else without saying so, I think you're doing fine.

Hardly anyone worries about such things anymore....but people who do their own work learn more, and can take pride in their grades.

Are you talking about exact sentences or themes or things like that? No. They just give me advice that influences what I write and send to my teacher.
