George W. Bush inherited a strong economy, a budget surplus, and a nation at peace.

Eight years later, he left Obama with a shattered economy, a trillion dollar deficit, and two useless wars.

Obama saved the country from another Great Depression, rebuilt GM, reformed healthcare, reformed Wall Street, doubled the stock market, created 7 straight quarters of GDP growth, created 22 straight months of private sector job growth, got Bin Laden, got Gaddafi, and got us out of Iraq.

And now with the automatic spending cuts and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts in 2012, Obama has solved the deficit problem as well.

Obama has done a very good job.

He solved the deficit problem? I must have missed that while he ran up record deficits.

He hasnt done nothing. He has done alot. I just dont fucking like any of it. He is a socialist dictator. He violates the constitution on a regular basis. He is a corporate lap dog. He has facilitated the theft of trillions of taxpayers dollars. He has caused inflation that is only now starting to reflect in the markets. He has further ruined our global reputation. His entire campaign platform was nothing but lies. He is a neocon corporate liberal.

He is a scumbag, and right after bush he is the worst president of all time. If he wasnt a moral midget and a corporate pawn then he would resign immediately. His last act should be to repeal everything he has done, then quietly go home to never show his face in public again.

There were a bunch of news stories about this when it happened. The families were very angry. They said Rumsfeld was rude. See, those people who signed up didn't know they were going to get royally fucked. I remember at the time, Republican bloggers saying they should quit "whining".

I knew you were stupid, I just had no idea how stupid until now. Stop loss is the practice of extending an enlistment past the normal point where most non military think it is over, something that is actually covered in the contract since everyone signs up for a minimum of 6 years or the duration of active combat.

The story that you posted was about extending a combat units tour of duty in combat, not about stop loss. There was a time when units went into combat and stayed there for years, I doubt most of the military thinks it is not fair that they have tostay in combat for more than a year at a time.

It was 7 million dollars - whoop de doo.
Then he said he saved us 7 million dollars and turned around and spent it on something else.

He did not save anything, all he did was take from one place and then spent it on another.

The point was that, since the pay freeze was bunk, I can assume everything is bunk. Prove me wrong.

Obviously, the move was to save money. It worked considering 25% didn't see a pay increase. Either way, this one fact is so insignificant in comparison to the list itself and you know it.

That was funny. A pay freeze that encompasses 100% of the personnel in the White House, which is what you claimed, would result in 100% of them not getting raises in the first year, not 25%. You really have a major problem with math, don't you? I remember your thread where you thought that Obama telling the truth 25% of the time made him an honest man.

By the way, the argument behind the pay freeze was to reduce the deficit, not save money. Can you point out how well that worked out again?
