A Bi-Partisan Motion for Censure

So roll the tape back about six months.

Would Pelosi and the Democrats have been better off politically if they had just tried to craft and pass a censure motion, basically telling the President that it's not OK to fuck with foreign aid like this?

Surely, they could have come up with language that was innocuous enough to get a fairly significant number of Republicans to sign on. After all, the President's conduct was clearly inappropriate and probably a violation of law.

And Pelosi would be getting accolades for being able to come up with an appropriate bi-partisan response to the President's outrageous behavior.

But now, they have managed to get the Trump supporters super-energized to throw these D bastards out of office, while accomplishing next to nothing for the eventual Democrat nominee.
I'm just wondering if there was a censure motion from Obama for weaponizing the IRS during the 2012 elections, Fast and Furious, and him and Hi-liary lying to Americans about Ben Ghazi.
<sob> But....but.......What about Owebama?

Censure him for what?

Asking a foreign country to investigate corruption is a good thing and should be applauded. Just because it will effect Washington Democrats doesn’t make it illegal or wrong to ask.

Senator Joe Manchin (one of the few Adult Democrats in Congress) has brilliantly seconded my motion.

Joe Manchin: Undecided Democratic senator calls for the Senate to censure Trump - CNNPolitics

As I said above, it would surely be possible to craft language that factually points out the President's conduct in dangling this aid package to induce the Ukrainian President to act. It doesn't have to say Trump fucked with the election or any of that; all it has to say is that he manipulated the process for an inappropriate objective.

That bi-partisan Censure, mild as it would be, would still be something every Democrat could use in campaigning in 2020.

And by the way, a Censure is done independently by the House and the Senate, so McConnell could not thwart the measure in the House, nor would he have unanimous support among Republicans in the Senate. In short, it would have been a brilliant move...and I'm glad Pelosi was too greedy and foolish to do it.

Is there anything that Trump could tell you dumbfucks that you wouldn`t believe? Trump being concerned with corruption is hilarious considering how many of his people have been locked up, convicted or pled guilty.

Awww, did we mention your Messiah Hussein again?

Joe Biden abused his power as VP to get a prosecutor fired to save his son from a corruption investigation.

Then he BRAGGED about it.
