It was in 1997, that I wrote an article entitled āIndia H1B Visa Workers Stealing Americansā Jobsā. The story was (and still is) about loyal, long-time American workers being tossed out of their jobs, so that greedy companies can boost profits by bringing in cheap, foreign labor.
Now, as it was then, the foreign workers (71% from India) are falsely told they had knowledge the companies needed, and the Americans didnāt possess. But upon their arrival at the US companies, they learn different.
An extensive training scenario takes place with the departing Americans training the low-wage foreign workers. For years, the unscrupulous companies bandied about the ludicrous lie that they could not find knowledgable workers. Itās amazing how they were able to pass that off as truth when the foreign workers, lacking knowledge, were being trained by the American ones.
Part of the reason why the companiesā laughable lie was able to float, was that the American workers kept this scandal quiet. Hush was the word. Code of silence.
But why would the American workers (some of them with 20 years in their jobs) be so obedient to the rascal companies who were treating them so badly ? The answer can be summed up in one word >> severance.
Last Sundayās 60 Minutes report said the American workers were āaskedā to train their replacements. Not hardly. They were ordered to do that, under the outrageous threat of losing their severance packages.
So here we are 20 years late5r, and what has been repaired on this stinking injustice to American workers ? The answer is absolutely nothing. And this is the real story. How 3 presidents (Clinton, Bush, & Obama) have allowed this domestic outsourcing disgrace to flourish, and continue unabated. When one looks at the abysmal record of these 3 presidents, regarding illegal immigration (AKA domestic outsourcing), it is quite clear that these 3 rogues did not have a pro-American worker bone in their bodies.
Hopefully, now with Donald Trump in the White House, this decades-old record will finally stop, as Trump campaigned on putting a halt to the H1B visa abuse. Or will liberal judges step in and stop him on that too (since they seem to like foreign migrants so much). If Trump does act against the scandalous scenario, will the devious judges again come to the aid of minority group migrants, over the well-being of the American people ?
Trump needs to get to work on this national disgrace, and the judges need to stay out of it.
