Today marks the 40th anniversary of the 1978 Jonestown Massacre, in which "drinking the Kool-Aid" caused the deaths of 918 people, mostly Americans, in a commune in Guyana...

Wow, has it been 40 years? These people were die-hard democrats and the Rev. Jim was photographed with a slew of democrat politicians (but no republicans). Jonestown was the new religion supported by the democrat party and Jonestown was supposed to be the democrat party in exile. The ironic thing is that Jonestown probably would have survived and possibly even prospered if the nut case Jim Jones let congressman Leo Ryan go without a problem. The problem was that Jones was probably paranoid suicidal and he trained his flock to drink the cool-aid. The democrat party has been drinking political cool aid for the last two years.
