Your view is distorted...can't say why.

The President can MAKE NO LAWS; he can SPEND NO MONEY. His job is to EXECUTE the laws made by Congress, and to manage the Executive Branch of the U.S. Federal Government. Congress completely controls the purse-strings of the U.S.

HE cannot build any Wall, or fund the building of the Wall. He is COMPLETELY powerless to do so. All he can do is to ASK Congress to fund the wall. Which he has done, repeatedly.

He cannot change the tax laws; he can only suggest to Congress what he thinks should be done. He has done that, and will elucidate his vision more completely in the next couple days.

He HAS NEVER PROPOSED A "MUSLIM BAN," even though he has the legal and Constitutional power to do so. Regardless, his election has been a clear message to outsiders that the door of free immigration to anyone with a sob story is rapidly closing.

Under the Constitution, he has great powers over immigration, not only by enforcing existing laws (which he is required to do), but also by deciding how a number of related laws are to be enforced. HIS MERE PRESENCE IN THE WHITEHOUSE has already dramatically reduced illegal immigration, and actually caused an outflow of illegal immigrants, which will likely become a tidal wave in the foreseeable future.

President Trump has ALREADY accomplished a great deal, simply by nominating a Supreme Court justice who respects the Constitution, which Justice will likely stay on the Court for DECADES. Further, he will likely be nominating at least two more Justices of like mind IN HIS FIRST TERM.

In our perverse court system, we currently have the phenomenon of Federal District Court Judges (mainly), appointed by a Leftist President, who have the power RIGHT NOW to thwart Presidential orders throughout the country. This phenomenon has had a significant detrimental effect on a few of Trump's actions, but remember that CONGRESS has complete control over the jurisdiction and powers of the Federal Courts, and if this happens a few more times, we could well see CONGRESS taking action to prevent this sort of nonsense in the future. Nevertheless, these are temporary setbacks, and Trump will prevail ultimate on these issues.

We are now at approximately 100 days - less than 7% of President Trump's FIRST TERM. With the unavoidable "learning curve," coupled with the fact that he had no public sector experience whatsoever when he took the oath of office, the number and magnitude of his early accomplishments have been astounding. And if the American Mainstream Media had not been attacking him constantly, they would be writing stories about his incredible effectiveness, rather than the garbage one can read now in the likes of the New York Times, Washington Post, and so on.

Note well that essentially ALL of Trump's voters are more than satisfied with what they have seen so far, and a far higher percentage of Hillary's voters have expressed some "buyer's remorse."

I don't know where you are getting your information, but you need to look elsewhere. I suggest RealClearPolitics for an assortment of daily assessments from both sides of the political spectrum.
You criticise the perverse court system but then your perverse voting system gave you a president who came second in the vote. you cant cherry pick which parts of the constitution you want.
Trump promised all of the stuff I mentioned and has yet to deliver on any of it. Why is he so ineffective ?

The majority of Americans in the overwhelming majority of states voted for Trump, we are a republic under a federalist system, the DNC is no longer a national party they are a coastal regional party.
The majority of Americans voted for Clinton. Your system disenfranchises them.

It's the best we can do until we put them in prison.

We are a federalist system not a tyranny of the majority, if we were, then less populated states and their citizens would be disenfranchised at the Federal level, the election is not and should not be determined by NYC, LA, and Chicago, the higher populated states still control through a majority vote their state governments, and you people don't even get to elect your head of state you vote for a party which decides who is PM so spare me. These calls to change the rules after the game is played are laughable, Trump didn't campaign in California, Illinois, or New York because it would have been pointless under our electoral system and millions of Republicans don't bother voting in those states for the same reason.

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy,

Is it possible that you are actually the Old Fart shown in your posts? You seem naïve in the extreme.

Our Founding Fathers knew, presciently I must say, that no serious decision should be decided by the Will of the People. The People can pass no laws, approve no treaties, approve or disapprove any regulation, or modify any tax. And while they can ELECT the people who make such decisions, it would be unwise in the extreme to allow the People to make them directly.

Look at the state of California. They have such rights in that sad state, and were it not for the good weather, California would long ago have sunk into the Pacific Ocean because of its incompetent, outrageous governance.

And you should be old enough to know that if the U.S. had been foolish enough before now to change its method of electing a President to award the election to the one with the most popular votes, you would have seen a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT campaign, likely with different candidates, different foci, and an entirely different result. And under no circumstances could Hillary Rodham Clinton have won the Democrat nomination under that regime.

To even utter the words "[national] popular vote" under the current circumstances is pure idiocy.

Trump is struggling to get anything done.

Does he have an option to resign and run again in order to get a mandate ?

Or are you stuck with him for 4 years ?
The Democrats have 26 seats up. Once they lose a majority of those things will get done faster. Once scotus overrules the lower court things will pick up. Unlike say a communist country like Wales we Americans get things done!
From over here Trump seems to be impotent. No wall,no Trumpcare, no Muslim ban, bombing Syria and so on.
He needs a mandate.

He's being resisted by liberals using the tactic of having Federal judges appointed by Barack Obama declare everything he tries to do "unconstitutional"! Those cases will now be appealed to the Supreme Court and declared constitutional. It will take longer to get things done...but they'll get done.

It's your nutty system. And it's given you trump against the will of the people. Well done.

Trump ALREADY has a 22 seat majority in Congress. But Republicans aren't voting for the stupid shit he promised. Republicans won't give him money for his dumb wall. Or vote for his POS health care plan. Ryan and McConnell refused to approve tariffs on imports.

Trump HAS a mandate. But he has no staff. He's filled fewer than 100 of the 660 executive level jobs in the administration. He has no one in the departments to implement his agenda, write his legislation or get the ball rolling.

And if you're waiting for the SC to vacate the restraining orders on his EO's you're going to have a long wait. He overstepped his authority and the RO's will be upheld.

The reason Trump doesn't have the staff he should is that Democrats have been stonewalling his appointments. The restraining orders are from cherry picked liberal courts...orders that have more basis in politics than in the law. They'll be overturned as soon as they reach the Supreme Court.
