Do you want to know why the Palestinian side never gets fair coverage? Or why so many of israel's crimes go unreported?

This should come as no surprise as israel is totally opposed to free speech and truth. They are the enemies of free speech and the people who make thought crimes a jailable offense.

Wake up people, the clock is ticking.

Some 310 violations have been committed by Israeli forces against journalists since the start of the year, the Committee for the Support of Journalists revealed in a report yesterday.

The report, which covers the period between 1 January and 30 June, states that excessive force was used against media personnel in violation of all international and human rights conventions which guarantee the freedom of press.

Journalists were arrested, detained and prevented from entering areas to provide coverage, the organisation said, while many had their equipment damaged or confiscated. Others were barred from travel or had their homes raided, while media outlets were shut down or threatened....

How do you people get past shooting journalists like this, let alone all the other ways that israel violates journalists for simply doing their job?

310 cases of Israeli violations against journalists

There were 78 cases in which journalists were shot, either using live bullets or rubber coated live munitions, while others were beaten or suffered from smoke inhalation after tear gas was used to disperse them.

Seems to imply that not ALL 78 were shot with rubber or real bullets. It's pretty ambiguous. And if 78 journalists WERE shot in a year -- Israel would HAVE to make changes to the way the Press is allowed into conflict areas.

I'm rating this LOW on the credibility meter.

Nawwwww.. I'm doubting this 78 journalists have been shot hysteria. The original quote referred to 78 being shot or gassed or suffered smoke inhalation. Louie just juiced up the title. If there were 78 journalists shot in Israel just this year -- it would be a huge story and hard to hide. Don't know if there are 78 foreign journalists in Israel at any one time.

So according to the Committee to Protect Journalists -- which is under linked from the OP ----

Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory - Committee to Protect Journalists

16 journalists KILLED in Israel since 1992. NOT ALL by IDF or Military Police..

This includes all the intifadas and Gaza wars..

So if 78 are shot in 1/2 of one year -- the Israelis are not very lethal at all. It's a crap interpretation of an ambiguously written paragraph.. MAYBE INTENTIONALLY ambiguous -- given the source. To fool folks like Louie..

In the MEANTIME -- this was ALSO at the Comm. to Protect Journalists under THIS YEAR.

Hamas detains Palestinian journalist in Gaza - Committee to Protect Journalists

Hamas detains Palestinian journalist in Gaza

June 14, 2017 4:21 PM ET

New York, June 14, 2017---Palestinian authorities in the Gaza Strip should immediately release Fouad Jaradeh, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today. Jaradeh, a reporter for Palestine TV, the official Palestinian Authority broadcaster based in the West Bank, was detained June 8 in Gaza City by authorities from the territory's Hamas-led government, according to news reports.

According to the London-based newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi, officers from Hamas' Internal Security Branch raided Jaradeh's home the evening of June 8 and confiscated his computer and mobile phone before arresting him. Nabhan Khraishi, the communications officer for the Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate, told CPJ that Hamas security officials charged Jaradeh with "communicating with Ramallah," a reference to the Palestinian Authority, which is controlled by Hamas' rival party, Fatah, and is based in the West Bank city of Ramallah. Khraishi said the journalists' detention was renewed for 15 days today. The Mada Center, a Palestinian press freedom group, said in an emailed statement that the journalist is detained at Qasr al-Hakem, an Interior Security Branch facility.

My my my.. Hows Louie gonna react to Hamas snatching Journalists and imprisoning them for "communicating with the West Bank"???? Seems kinda brutal ----- eh LouieHHH???

Wow.. Seems like Palestinians have a LOT of issues with journalists also... From 2017 as well..
