3 things liberals can't lie about

Bush added at most 6 trillion to the debt in 8 YEARS. Obama will add 5 in 4. Explain that away. The left insisted twice under Bush that gas prices WERE his fault, now suddenly the President has no control over gas prices.

As for jobs lets look at Congress, what was the unemployment rate in 2006 and when did it start to climb?

I'll explain.

When you are facing an eminent depression you have to pump money into the economy SOON.
....For OBVIOUS REASONS!!!!

"Vice President Dick Cheney has spent most of the past year in hiding, ostensibly from terrorists, but increasingly it seems obvious that it is Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the media and the public he fears."

Does the President control the price of gasoline?

Unemployment didn't spike until the last year of Bush's term.... It's been sky high for all 3 years of Obama.

Yea, but do you realize that recessions of the magnitude of the one we're in don't heal overnight? It's gonna take years and years and years; the housing market was way overstretched (ie bubble) and it popped. Employment was lost - but many of those jobs should have never of existed in the first place. They were held up on houses made of cards.

Bush didn't cause the recession, and Obama's not the reason we're still in it. The forces that did cause the recession, and are maintaining it, were/are beyond their control.

Oh no, the causes were well within our control.

When did I say that the recession couldn't have been prevented? I just said Bush - the man - wasn't the cause. I think the recession could have definitely been prevented! Starting with never allowing the Glass-Steagall act to come to fruition in the early 1990's, the act that changed the face of banking as we know it.

Presidents can definitely affect the price of gas. The thing is, if you want to complain about the price of gas and blame the President, you kind of have to show how he is causing the rise or how he could lower the price. And so far, no "conservatives" are even attempting that.

How about the fact Obama has placed out of bounds 85 percent of the areas Bush allowed for drilling? Or that he nixed the Canada pipe line? Or that his policies prevent shale from being processed? How about the fact he has announced in the past his entire goal is to make gas so expensive only the rich can afford it, along with electricity and natural gas?

How about the fact his policies will cause over 100 coal fired electric plants to close which have to be replaced. How about the fact his policies are causing US refineries to close? Any of that ring a bell?

Yes, thanks for the correction.

And who was President when that happened? Who signed it? Which President and his Vice president initiated policies to force banks to loan to potential homeowners that did not meet the strict guidelines banks had been using? Who appointed the leader of Fannie and Freddie that oversaw the removal of regulations to control lending for homes?

Now which President tried TWICE to have more regulations created for the housing market? And which Senator tried a third time? Only to be met with the claim that the housing market was solid and fine and the only threat was more regulations?
