3 Months Is All You Need As A Prepper – Here’s Why

You haven't really been paying attention have you?
America's grid system is under very realistic risk of systematic failures.
It won't be a long term failure, but like California this year - intermittent black outs. But they are in some of the best weather in the country. Other states - WILL - start seeing serious power outages by the winter of 2024. That is not some doomsday conspiracy theory - real as you are right now.
And nothing is being done. In fact it is being made worse by the government insisting on electric vehicles which further exacerbates the problem.
The single greatest threat, by far, that if nothing is done - now - is a widespread grid failure.
And because most people are like you, ignoring the problem and laughing at people who do realize there is a problem - is exactly why the inevitable is going to happen.
That's not even accounting for terrorism, for which the threat is ever increasing. Remember the substation attacks in the previous months. Not all the actors have been caught. These can easily have been probing attacks.

Short term power outages, which we have always had, and presumably will have in the future, are not the same as long term system grid failure. You don't understand that?

How many people died in the short term grid failures in Texas that winter? How many would it have been had it lasted twice as long..?

Things always look worse if you imagine them to be twice as bad as they actually were.

You're the one who opined about the outage lastng twice as long.
Yeah. I did. Many died with the outage as long as it was. It only stands to reason that had it gone on longer, more would have died. The majority of those who died weren't prepared...

Uh people died.
And you have to understand what is short term, and what is long term.
Recently people near here due to a storm lost power for 2 weeks. They were okay, because it was a small area and they received help. Systemic failure is not power loss on a small area. It is power loss over a region, between 50 to over 100 sq miles. And they will include large cities.
Think of all of Chicago losing power, in the middle of winter, for even one week. 1000s would die.

In 2003, NYC lost power for less than 24 hours, and not in the winter.
Over 100 people died.
In Texas 246 people died directly due to power outage - but the count is actually 702 counting people who died indirectly to the power outage.
And officials there said that if they did not take the steps that resulted in the power outage that killed those people - a large section of Texas would have lost power for several months.

Widescale power outages is not a question of if in the United States - but WHEN.
If people are not prepared at all - you are an idiot, and some of your family members could die because of it.
I have some dried beans, rice, canned vegetables, flour, grain, sugar etc. There is nothing crazy or conspiratorial about that.
