One cannot help but wonder what percentage of the passengers on the Titantic would have said that the ship was headed in the right direction right before it hit the iceberg.

While I recognize that consumer confidence can make a difference to the economy when it is essantially sound, except for a lack of confidence, there is little reason whatever to care what the people think about the economy, when their opinion will make no difference to the outcome.

The fundamental flaws in our economy are not being addressed and I see no plans on the horizon for anyone in power to even acknowledge that those fundamental flaws exist and are at the root of the current depression we are in.
