As a conservative and a patriot, I have to concede that Trump, or any president for that matter, should not be left to operate unchecked. He will almost certainly face impeachment proceedings within the year. If he operates too rogue he could lose support in the senate. I can envision a scenario where the senate would move towards Pence.

You think its a political decision instead of if he's guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors"?
FYI, Obama went more unchecked, i.e. violated the Constitution way more, than Trump.

I think you're conflating the deep state with globalists. IMHO the Deep State is:

The GOP leadership that needed to be swept away are "globalists" who prefer big campaign donations instead of working to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US as Trump is doing. If you look at who opposes Trump's tariffs you will see who cares more for donations than the middle class. We need pols who are not "bought", and they are hard to find.

Tariffs are a tax on Americans. Trump's steel tariffs raise the prices of goods sold in America. Companies that make their product in the US and sell overseas are at a disadvantage when selling overseas. Manufacturing jobs started coming back to the US when Obama was President.

This is the Obama policy that manufacturing jobs are not coming back. Yet when Trump, Navarro, and Lightheiser get fair trade policies the US can compete. The globalists gave tax breaks to move factories over seas!! If/when your job gets outsourced you might understand. We need the US government to be pro US worker, not pro Wall Street. We agree with Obama that job training is crucial to success. Not everyone needs a college degree to succeed.

This is so much propaganda. There are a lot if reasons why companies move overseas and it has nothing to do with so-called fair trade policies. The fact is that many manufacturers have moved back to the US because they find the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However some jobs are not coming because the product has low profit margins and cannot be profitably made in the US. Workers have to be re-trained for jobs that are going begging. However one thing has to be done. Older re-trained workers have trouble finding jobs they are trained for due to their age. If Trump focused on these instead of personal attacks on twitter, he would have higher approval ratings.

Many jobs have been created by foreign trade. These jobs would be forfeit. It is not a zero sum game.
