What kind of inflation numbers were used to calculate this?

Wait'll Sept. September is the month for vomit inducing bad news on the economic front. Almost all the bad shit that happens, happens in Sept....for instance...

Panic of 1907 - started in SEPT!!!
Black Friday - Sept!!
Black Weds - SEPT!!
9/11 - dah!!!
Stock crash of 2002 - started in SEPT!!
2007-2009 Bear market - started in SEPT!!
2008 financial meltdown started in...SEPT!!

Sept 2012- epic financial meltdown ????

You have to go back to the 1930's(great depression) to find worse than what we're having now for the length and depth, we're seeing. The 1980's didn't last as long with the intensity as the Obama economy. True, the depth at one point may of been slightly deeper, but the length of this one is mind blowing. :(

Is it ever going to be accepted that this kind of 'growth' is not only deceptively determined, but, more important, unsustainable? Economic balance is the only forward path. Basing everything on this kind of 'growth' is the most certain road to ruin.

Yes. 'Unsustainable' is the key word here.

We can't stay stable as our population is growing. The unemployment rate will naturally grow larger without a constant growth of the economic system.

A better way forward is to spend money on building our nation like China. They have the right idea.:eusa_boohoo:

Nope, because it isn't unsustainable. How is "everything" based on growth? I don't get what you are saying. I do agree that many forecasts are based on growth, andd that may be a problem because the growth may in fact be negative because the horrific state of the economy. Thus basing the deficit spending on "growth" is.... 2008 all over again.
