GW2 is really just a continuation of GW1. GW1 only was a ceasefire. Saddam agreed to numerous conditions and he violated these for 10 years. One of them was to never shoot at overflying US aircraft. He did this on numerous occasions. That alone justifies us going in and finishing the job of GW1, regime change. This is an absolute undeniable fact. An "inconvenient truth" to quote the left.

Bush defended the US from further attacks after 9/11 by crushing Al Quada and the Taliban in Iraq and Afghanistan. Trump never did anything with regards to war other than killing one Iranian general. Bush DESERVES praise from the US, as he wiped out more terrorists in 1 year than every president since him has.

As Colin Powell put it, the invasion could only be sold as a pre-emptive strike. We chose Iraq because we knew they had no way to defend themselves other than roadside bombs. Obama exposed and ended the torture program. Yes, he continued with the bombing etc., but the War in Afghanistan it’s not the same as the war in Iraq. There is actual legal justification for the war in Afghanistan. Not for continuing it for 20 years but at least for starting it.

I was really disappointed in Obama’s renewal of the Patriot Act. And “disappointed” understates my level of disgust at this action.

Given the level of shit obama had to deal with, I thought he did a very very good job, especially on the economy, but no leader is ever perfect.

Same with Trudeau. His handling of the economy and the covid crisis is stellar. He should have won re-election in a landslide.
