New Jersey's employment picture took a turn for the worse in September with a loss of 20,200 jobs, 9,400 of them in the private sector, the NJ Department of Labor said in its monthly jobs report.

In other words, there are less government jobs and less union jobs.

Which mean now we can have people employing themselves in other ways.

changing jobs isnt necessarily a bad thing.

Up till this post of course :D

Ed, Christie is not the sole cause of this problem causing job losses. Not saying Christie is making all the right moves either.

edit: except for Avatars post.

We can blame individuals and individual polices for job loss and creation.

Seems easy to fix, what the fuck happened to Obama, if its as simple as one man creating and destroying its even easier for the most powerful man in the world to fix what another broke.

Hey... just pointing out to EdTheCommie how he has directed blame away from Obama while instantly putting it on this Governor... a little disingenuous, dontchathink?

9,400 of the lost jobs were PRIVATE sector jobs. But CON$ don't care how many private sector jobs are lost just so long as Christie busts the unions!

You sound just like Pelosi saying losing your job isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Thank you for again showing that, CON$ are just like Libs ....
Only MORE so!

He has a lot of work to do. NJ is a unionised shit hole, that was dug by union workers that charged more than they bid and took 3 times as long as they said to dig it.

He also has to counter the screw ups of big 0, that's not an easy task at all. Plus he has to over come the dims that didn't get voted out.

I'm sure things will turn around for NJ about 6 - 12 months before the rest of the nation.

But Obama's lost jobs in the past 2 years are Bush's fault, right??

Obama didn't cancel the Tunnel Project which would have created 6,000 private sector jobs immediately building the thing and tens of thousands of future jobs once it was finished. In fact, Obama offered more money and guarantees that any cost overruns would be covered by a group of third party investors.

It was GOP partisan Christie who rejected the money and jobs so he could divert more than a billion dollars to his slush fund for his cronies. The goal of GOP governors is to keep unemployment high by rejecting infrastructure projects in order to make Obama a one term president.

Well, it must have been his efforts to balance NJ's bloated budget. Evil bastard.

Jobs lost while DEM executive in office.. .someone else's fault... Jobs lost while REP executive in office... inherently the REP's fault

You are such a hyper partisan troll

As I pointed out without resorting to name calling.

Hey, HeadsInTheSeptic,
Christie was elected in November of '09, wasn't he?

This thread would be EVEN better if you could have accused him of axing jobs prior to his election!!!

Wow, would we Con$ have loved him even more.

An aside, glad to see you have a few different Rush quotes,...did it take much of your time away from pork rinds and Donkey Kong?

First of all, I said nothing about jobs lost while a DEM executive was in office, that is YOUR Straw Man.

And when Obama offers more money and guarantees that NJ's costs are CAPPED at the original amount agreed to and Christie STILL cancels the job creating and badly needed infrastructure project, then yes Christie has EARNED the blame!

No... YOUR TRACK RECORD of putting everything out of Obama's hands (for the past 2 years) is quite clear... and your idiotic and hypocritical assertion when it is a REP exec that was just elected cements the picture

You're a fucking idiot

He did a tremendous job canceling a project that was gonna strangle NJ's economy with guaranteed cost over runs that NJ was gonna be responsible for.The Feds were offering teaser loans to keep the project going but NJ was responsible to pay them back.

Yeh it was gonna provide jobs but the negative effect needed to be dealt with.NJ should get with the program as the rest of the country should pay attention to how this guy is trying to fix a government that hasa run amok with spending.

Good job Governor Christie......:clap2::clap2:

Troll alert...

Again, the CON$ can't argue against the fact that Christie's policies are killing jobs so they stoop to personal attacks.
Thank you!

They can't accept the simple fact that government austerity, budget balancing, etc., whatever else it might be,

it's not a job creator. It's a job killer, because the government spending you're trying to eliminate is effectively funding dozens/hundreds/thousands of jobs.

If you want to make an argument for shrinking government and balancing the budget, fine, but don't insult our intelligence by claiming that it's some sort of economic stimulus.

Admit that it is what it is. PAIN.

THEN make your argument as to why the pain is worth it.
