Police respond to reports of school shooting in Colorado

Details are still sketchy but the local sheriff's department is reporting that 2 suspects are in custody, 2 people were shot, no deaths reported, no motive for the shooting is yet known. Police are currently engaging a 3rd suspect at this time.

"The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received reports that shots were fired at the STEM School in Highlands Ranch, according to a tweet. At least two people are believed to be inured, according to the sheriff's office."

This school is a kindergarten to 12th grade school and has more than 1,800 students; the school is still currently under lockdown.

The government school system does keep juveniles more scarce during the daytime, and gives the adults time to do their business.

One woman interviewed was the mother of a JR/sr English teacher, who said she was targeted by the 2 suspects, but got out ok, and when asked if she knew a motive, she stated she wouldn’t go into that.

This is not a matter that gun laws would have stopped.....there are also laws against murder on the books that didn't stop this either...but I am still in favor of having both laws against murder and gun restrictions on the books and enforced...

It is idiotic to believe gun restrictions will stop ALL of these kind of shootings but it is also idiotic to think fewer to no gun restrictions will stop ALL these kinds of shootings.
