1961: Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine

the greatest President of my time. I heard part of that speech, how true, we will be telling our granchildren what it used to be like to be an American.

Yes, Timmy, we used to own SLAVES, and they built the Capitol building!

Ronald Reagan: Mighty Conqueror of Terrifying Granada, Guardian of Central American Terro- err Freedom Fighters, Master Armorer of Iran, and good friend and neighbor to wonderful world leaders like those of South Africa, Argentina, and Chile in the 1980s. A true hero.

Ronald Reagan remains the most significant president of the last 50 years.

I have had the honor of meeting a former president - sadly it was not Ronald Reagan...

Of course Reagan was pro-government, as it formed an integral component of his Military Keynesianism.

ROFLMNAO...

Oh GOD! Now that's precious... It's of the same species of sophistry which gave us 'Christian Sharia' earlier in the week.

What I love MOST about Ronald Reagan was his instinctive understanding of the immutable American principles; and his ability to communicate an unapologetic advocacy of those principles... the innate light of man. And the best part is that this inate ability of President Reagan is the source of all this angst and hatred of him, by the Left.

Like Palin... The Left hates Palin, for NO OTHER REASON, than her instinctive understanding of the truth and her unapologetic determination to spread it around; without concern for who it might offend.

We're Americans... we know the truth and we don't give a flying fuck WHAT YOU THINK.

Shut your goddamn mouth unless you have something intelligent to say (a metaphysical impossibility, I suspect), you stupid punk. Now, do you have any sound objection to my insight into Reagan's military Keynesian economic policies? I didn't think so. Oh, and btw...

PROTIP: It's "ROFLMAO." I don't know where the fuck this 'N' is coming from, unless you're kind of queer and want to be "naughty."

Reagan was so right. I've always said Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security were huge mistakes. And for that matter, so is the VA. Soldiers know what they are getting in to, they shouldn't have to be "taken care of".

The guy was brilliant. He even understood that it's "trees" that cause air pollution. One of the indisputed scientific facts of today.

No question, Reagan was brilliant.

Railing against welfare queens while collecting government checks for 20 years.

Genius.

Like to explain how Clinton cut welfare more than any other President while collecting government checks, Ms. Lewinsky?

Nothing crazy about my statement. I prefer facts to Reagan mythology. He was a supporter of socialised medicine. That is a fact.

No... it's a lot of things, but a fact is not one of them...

Reagan, like all Americans was a compassionate man who understood that civilized people do not let those who cannot care for themselves suffer...

Reagan also believed that hand outs were inappropriate... thus Reagan advocated for a system to help those in need which had strong measures of accountability... systems which provided for a repayment of temporal subsidies, where such was possible.

In no way does that fall into 'socialized' anything...
