1956 Mercury X-M Turnpike Cruiser

It's amazing how these auto companies will spend MILLIONS of consumer dollars on these "concept cars", and then dump them in the nearest junkyard.

They need to be fined and subjected to HARSH tax audits when they do this shit.

These vehicles belong in a museum, NOT in a junk yard! What a sick, sadistic waste!!!!

/——/ They are just ideas. Most don’t even run and held together with baling wire.

Doesn't alleviate the fact they spend MILLIONS on them.
/——-/ Research and development on ideas that often find their way into new cars. There is also a need to keep these ideas out of the hands of competitors, and liability issues if the prototype falls in the hands of someone who is injured or killed driving one.
I don’t understand your concern. All industries do this. It’s how we get new products and services.
