Nobody is questioning his years of experience. If he weren't a total shithead, liar, and buffoon, he would be the most QUALIFIED person ever to run. But alas, he has learned nothing from history and constantly makes mistakes that even a newcomer would be excoriated for (e.g., Afghanistan withdrawal).

Of course, the counterargument to his experience is that, with all of it in the public sector he is totally out of touch with the lives and concerns of ordinary Americans, whom he claims to serve. Indeed, he has never had what ordinary folks would consider a "job," nor has he ever run a legal business (selling access to government does not qualify).
