Should we take cell phones out of school? Is it even possible anymore?

more you know nothing about. Not everyone considers photos to be directory info, and we have a consent form.

Every one of those students' parents signed, and were aware of that picture being taken and how it was to be used? I don't think so. Stop breaking the law.

They don't have to know how. They sign the release. You don't have to think so. It happens to be a fact and your lack of knowledge has no bearing on that.

Go ask your district legal rep.

Stop breaking the law.
so I'll just add this to the list of things you really know nothing about. Though I find it funny that now you are saying that I am a teacher because you expect I would have a district rep. Anything else you want to back out of?

Go ask your legal rep. Show him or her your post on this message board. He or she will tell you to stop breaking the law.

you just keep swinging and missing...are you sure you have ever worked in a school? Do you have any actual teacher training?

I am conflicted with this one. I understand the teacher's point of view that the cell phone is competition for the teacher....but I also understand tha parent's point of view that a cell phone represents a measure of safety in today's public education setting.

My Grandson has his entire curriculum on his I-phone and manages to do his homework and research sometimes all from his palm while at the same time learning Spanish. If anything I would say his handwriting skills probably suffer because of it but then again....how relevant is handwriting anymore?

I think the real question now is whether or not it is even possible to do this thing. I'm thinking the time has past for it .

Cell phones contain age-inappropriate information that destroys maturity-related growth that most children could be enticed into bad relations with pedophiles, criminals, sex traffikkers, porn, and unfriendly family interference with parental guidance.

It's never too late to put in cages criminal minded monsters who hurt children and their families. I have a very dim view of those who take down a good family life that might destroy the futures if innocent children.

And if a teacher destroys a family's privacy by experimenting child safety into oblivion, that would demand a pink slip for a horrendous scenario of ruination of parental rights and the child they are nurturing.

30 years and counting, kid.
What exactly are you counting when you repeat "30 years and counting"? I said I was around 30 years (29 or 30) and you keep repeating something about 30 years and counting. Do you even have any classroom experience? Have you ever set foot in a school? Front line teacher? Back office gofer? You really don't know much about education. Do you have any actual training? You just seem consumed by jealousy and limited by some very serious collections of ignorance.

I like that you call me kid. I'll call you "Fred."

So, Fred, having fun being constantly wrong? Hey Fred! Now that you admit I'm a teacher, want to walk back any of the other stupidity you posted? What do you think, Fred? Have you made enough of a fool of yourself yet?

Jeepers Fred -- you aren't very good at this. Why don't you sit quietly in the corner and let the professionals talk. If I need coffee, I'll tell you what to get.
