Your graph is off because we use 'Core' inflation numbers now. WHICH IS A BULLSHIT HANDJOB POLITICAL DEAL. If we were to use the same inflation-measuring tools as were used on Carter and ZFord, Sponge Brains Shits Pants would have inflation higher than Ford's but on par with Carter's.
