The Democratic Party has largely moved farther left (more radicalized) and single young women are a significant part of that shift. IMHO, they want equal outcomes, hence the increased desires for socialistic policies and damn the consequences.

The Democrat party moves farther towards the fringe in attempts to capture more "oppressed victims", marginalizing themselves, while taking their current support for granted with the understanding that compassion and the desire to nurture is a natural instinct for women, and will cause some women to do some very stupid and self-defeating things.

Like when a mother cannot stop supporting a child, and everything she is doing to assist that child is only going further towards not helping the child at all, with the expectation that things should be better instead of the reality that they aren't.

Fighting for the underdog, or at the least pretending to, is how you harness the emotions of those you have convinced are oppressed and helpless, and in turn get them to sacrifice their body and soul for the Collective.
