It really is fascinating to consider how they live...and how they make it look so easy living in such an unforgiveable area.

People like this are an interesting sample in the human experiment. They CHOOSE to live in a place that will kill you in minutes if things don't go just right, and they do it birth to death, generation after generation.

It takes people who want nothing more than their parents had, nothing more than it takes to exist and subsist, and it takes generational understanding that wanting nothing more than your father/mother have is expected or the way of life dies because to want "more" means to leave.

I'm not knocking it at all...these folks are probably happier than many running the western civilization rat race, it's just interesting that they want to live in one of the harshest places on earth knowing that life could be so much easier elsewhere.

I want to put them on the show Alone. Most people tap out when it gets cold. But cold to them is zero. These people would be shirtless. 😂

I'm good to minus 14 maybe worse, even bivouacking for a week, once, and skied in Colorado at that temp, but minus 71 is out of the question.
