1. You have to have had a veterinarian visit within the past year.
2. You are not covered for pre-existing conditions.
Hmmmm. Notice the catch here ? You take you pet in to the veterinarian because he/she isn't feeling well. The first visit is just an examination and a report. So once this is done, the pre-existing condition is thereby established, and what you need the coverage for, is then NOT COVERED.
Basically, it is a you pay the insurance company (often $100/month+), and they are not going to pay out any money for you.
Great deal, huh ?
If all this isn't bad enough, note that unlike how it is with human medical insurance (where doctors & hospitals wait about 10 days to get reimbursed), and you get serviced immediately, ......
with veterinarians, your pet gets zero care, until you cough up the entire bill UP FRONT. This could be thousands of dollars, especially for surgeries.
It has long been the practice in America that thousands of pets (mostly dogs & cats) needlessly die every year, simply because of this backwards policy (backwards from how it's done with human medical insurance).
If all the DUPES out protesting against ICE, (just for diversion of attention from fraud activities), could get their heads out of their you-know-whats, they could well be expending all that useless & wasted energy protesting against Veterinarian Privilege, and thousands of pets' lives could be saved.
