With the exception of ONE republican, Rand Paul, the republicans have approved the CR with the concurrence of two democrats and an independent. Democrats have refused to vote to keep the gov't open lockstep beyond those. If democrats were doing anything other than throwing a temper tantrum, they would have voted to continue the funding while negotiations ensued. Schumer and Jeffries OWN this shut down. LOL try again.

Republicans have more than 50 votes to pass it, but Dems hate democracy and won’t allow a vote to happen.

Mike Johnson and the Republicans in the House passed a reasonable, proper, and clean CR to keep the government operating until the final budget and subsequent appropriation bills could be passed.

Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats refused to pass the CR unless 1.5 TRILLION dollars that Democrats want to spend was added to it.

The government cannot get paid to operate without the consent of both houses of Congress.

The ONLY thing holding up everybody returning to work is Chuck Schumer and the Democrats.
