Hopefully, the college scam is breaking and will soon be over.

Funny, too, the Feds were right in the middle of this as they are so many wrong-headed policies.

Trade school jobs sometimes pay better than college grad jobs

Unlike previous generations, where even a degree in Greek Literature or Art History could be parlayed into a good, white collar job, today’s degree is ultra expensive and yet incredibly common. There are just too many holders of useless degrees to give them any value.

While your current degree is Literature of Lesbians of Color guarantees you will never hold a job that doesn’t involve making lattes or sandwichs, a Jouneyman’s qualification in HVAV repair or metal machining will see you making good money for decades to come.

Nothing new

It was like that 50 years ago when I went to school. Some kids went college track and others went vocational.

20 years ago, one of my sons went to college for Architecture, my other son went vocational for Welding

Both choices can be very successful or amount to nothing

Yep it's been a growling trying for a while

That's good to see a shop full of grown young men learning something useful so they can be productive and live decent lives

College today is just going for that piece of paper so you can call yourself "credentialed" "xsphurt"

What a load a horse s***

As my career machinist uncle told me when I chose to apprentice as a machinist, "They can't starve you. If they try, you can make a tin bill and pick shit with the chickens." LOL Trades provided me with a good income and retirement. I bet those Gen Z students in WY aren't whining about how they got screwed by Boomers like some of the Zoomers on this board do.
