I live in a small one bedroom apartment.

I have friends that have a two story, 3 bedroom house. They keep their lights on all the time and keep the ac or heat going all the time.

And yet.........MY electric bill is always twice as much as theirs!!!!

They are with a standard electric company here, and I am with a supposed "clean energy" electric company that supposedly gets its electricity from windmills, and they boast they save money by doing that. So WHY is MY bill always TWICE the amount of thiers?!!!!

I've even switched to all LED light bulbs and have thick, blackout curtains over my windows.

Yes, green energy is not cheap. This has been observed over and over again, especially in Europe where their energy bills are significantly higher than ours.

You need to find out how many Kilowatt hours you are using and how much you pay per kilowatt hour. Then you need to see if someone is stealing your electricity without your knowledge. You can figure out how many KW/h you are using pretty easily and if the numbers are off you know why your bill is twice as much.

They can tell you what they are paying per kilowatt hour (your friends) and solve the mystery.

And guess what, the government cares more about taking care and developing AI than it does you.

I did see a meme the other day that we now switch on LED bulbs, appliances are energy efficient, all this free electric from wind and solar bka bla, yet the cost of electric is through the ceiling.

Can you post copies of the electric bills? ... or tell us the monthly amounts of energy and the rate each of you are charged ... I suspect the big house is fully insulated, and your tiny apartment isn't ...

Up North is fully powered by renewables, with rates to smelt aluminum with ... where it rains every day all day long there's a surplus of cheapest-in-the-nation hydropower ...
