I have him in my town and I don't want him. You have to read up on some of the crap he does. If he was really only all about securing our borders or getting rid of illegals, that would be one thing, but this blow hard is all about him getting in front of a camera. He loves this "America's toughest sheriff" bullshit and are all about headlines. Period.

Funny thing about that is that a lot of the inmates at Tent City are given a choice to be incarcerated indoors, yet stay in the camp.
There's a documentary about AZ prisons on the teevee right now.

I don't see a violation here. In fact the link doesn't say what the lawsuit was about, ok he lost a lawsuit. Does that mean when Obama loses his lawsuit against AZ you will declare him to be a shitty President? I'm doubtful.
Lots of claims there, but I don't see any actual rulings against the Sheriff, not do I see him being investigated by the DoJ.

Under Arpaio's tenure as Sheriff, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has seen much controversy. Arpaio's practices have been criticized by organizations such as Amnesty International,[28] the American Civil Liberties Union, the Arizona Ecumenical Council, the American Jewish Committee,[29] and the Arizona chapter of the Anti-Defamation League.[30] The editorial board of The New York Times called Arpaio "America's Worst Sheriff".[31] Controversial issues surrounding the department have included allegations of racial profiling, in which the ACLU has sued the sheriff's office.[32][33] In April 2010, the Arizona Court of Appeals upheld a contempt-of-court ruling against a detention officer who "was held up as a hero among supporters of Sheriff Joe Arpaio". Sheriff's Posse
Building upon Maricopa County's 50-year-old program, Arpaio expanded the all-volunteer civilian posse through heavy recruiting. The volunteers perform many duties for the sheriff's office:
search and rescue
emergency communications
prisoner transport
traffic control
backup for sworn deputies
office administrative duties
Holiday Mall Patrol (which provides motorist assistance and security for shoppers during the holiday shopping season)
deadbeat parent details targeting men and women with outstanding arrest warrants for failure to pay child support.
Selective Service registration and organ donors
In 2001, Arpaio was the first sheriff to require all inmates 18 years and older to register for the Selective Service System. Registration is required by federal law for all U.S. males between 18 and 26 years of age, as well as for resident aliens of the same age regardless of their immigration status. Since 2001, a total of 28,000 inmates (including 9,000 aliens) have registered for Selective Service.[26][27]
The Sheriff also started the "Have a Heart" program in which inmates may volunteer to be organ donors.[27]
