There is a basic fact that (usually) Democrats like to ignore when they are out of power: American policy is codified by its laws. That is how American "democracy" works. We get to elect representatives, they speak for us in the legislature, and when they pass a law, that law is BY DEFINITION, American policy.

You don't get to say, "I don't agree with this; it shouldn't be the law; I oppose enforcement of it."

Bullshit. That is a recipe for Anarchy. If you don't like the laws or don't want them enforced, the remedy is to go to your congressman and try to get it repealed or changed. Until then, it is American policy, and to actively oppose it is anti-American.
