For I had a nightmare last night that Kamala was elected president and that the police tracked me down from my USMB IP and arrested me for talking about a new American Revolution on here. I'm pretty sure that'll never happen and that won't stop me from using my free speech until the day I die, but still it was a pretty scary nightmare.

The fear mongering has really worked on you.

Seriously - the news industry is a fear machine. And it's used by political interests to sell you on their nightmares, to manipulate you. Turn off the TV, get off the message boards, and take a walk. Talk to your neighbors. Pet a dog. The winner of the Presidential election will have virtually zero impact on your life.

Well anybody with a brain should be scared.
Yes, I agree with you but with one tiny difference. You should feel scared if TRUMP wins (not Kamala). The worst that can happen if Kamala wins is that we get ill for the next 4 years. The worst that can happen (and probably will) if Trump gets reelected, is that we get cancer and die over the next 4 years.

Trump will bring death to our nation. Democracy will disappear as the rich and powerful take over.

Correct. It won't happen, anybody bothering to care about tracking you down, from your USMB IP.

That just it. I despise Trump. I think he's bad for the nation. But for fuck's sake, apart from the media shitshow, him being President had pretty much NO impact on my life.

The last president who had any meaningful impact on my life was Nixon and the draft.

Trump is threatening to outlaw late shows that make fun of him.

The nightmare is if trump wins.

Nixon had nothing to do with the draft existing.
In the realm of policy, I regard eliminating the draft as my most important accomplishment. Nixon also saw ending the draft as an effective way to undermine the anti-Vietnam War movement since he believed affluent youths would stop protesting the war once their own probability of having to fight in it was gone.

The fearful thing is that one of the duopoly's duo will be elected.
