Will Trump Retire after 2026?

If I remember correctly, his son Ron, was trying to sell his book
and had said that Reagan had Alzheimer's while still in office.
But their relationship was contentious at best and the truth came
out that it was just BS.
Here is more

Altman, who covered Reagan’s health for the Times during his Presidency, wrote that in “my extensive interviews with his White House doctors, key aides and others, I found no evidence that Mr. Reagan exhibited signs of dementia as president.” Further, Altman wrote, “until Ron Reagan’s memoir appeared, no other family member—and not Edmund Morris, the official biographer who spent seven years with Mr. Reagan in the White House—publicly hinted that he showed evidence of Alzheimer’s as president.” Altman also spoke to Ron Reagan by phone, and had him clarify that although Alzheimer’s had likely begun its course in the brain, medically speaking, “We’re not talking anything that approaches the level of dementia … not to a level where something needed to be done.”

Just as I predicted two years ago that Biden would not be renominated, I am now predicting that President Trump will retire after the 2026 elections. He is still mentally sharp and energetic, but time stands still for no one. He has already cemented his unique place in American history, and his initiatives will be well on their way to fruition.

However he will turn 80 years old next year, and he certainly doesn't want to repeat Biden's (or Reagan's) decline. Actually, his early retirement would represent another patriotic feather in his cap by demonstrating his commitment to country over personal benefit. If the GOP retains control of Congress in 2026, he would then be feted as one of America's greatest Presidents. If the Dems regained control, his departure would rob them of another demented attempt to remove him from office. Either way, he would go out as a winner.

A better question, given his diet will he even alive in 2026?

You know he was toast.

You just don’t wanna admit it.

Whatever gramps
Tell you what, I proved Reagan when president got Alzheimers 6 years after leaving office. What is your proof with names accusing him, that he had it. His son Ron said that medically his dad did not show signs.

He cannot run for a third term and he has given no signs whatsoever of any political ambitions beyond this presidency. He has already turned his business interests over to his sons to run.

I'm guessing he will keep his hand in his businesses via chairing the board and he will no doubt step up to give assistance in situations in large scale city or state problems as is his trade mark.

But I'm guessing he'll also give himself a lot more time to play golf and just enjoy his retirement years after he hands the reins over to to J.D. or some other good MAGA who shares his vision for what American can and should be.

I said he will retire after the 2026 elections. That means he would not run in 2028, even if he could.
I expect he will still participate in the 2026 elections to keep a GOP controlled House and Senate and again in 2028 to help his successor of choice--I'm betting on J.D.--win as well as keep a GOP controlled House and Senate. And it's possible he might hold a rally now and then afterwards as he really enjoys those rallies.

But not running for office himself will give him much more time to get as much of his agenda done as is possible to do.

Somebody must have been pissed at Franklin Roosevelt to ban presidents to merely 2 terms in office.
