I can accept a little communism in their ranks as they would at least be open to the debate and maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle.

The far-left "spend until the nation is broke as long as my donors benefit" and embracing of anti-Americanism is not cool. Bring back the hippies and you might have a better chance of resonating with Americans.

For the record, as I've stated from the beginning and haven't wavered, Trump is not an ideologue, more of a libertarian than people understand. This is why he has the chance of a lifetime to right the ship and make leap forward with a broader American electorate. If the old-school hippies were considered the far-left today, they would gain traction.
