An oddity for a Charlton Heston movie this is a warm hearted western that hits the spot.
Charlton plays a big hearted cowboy helping a woman get thru the winter in one piece.
It shows the west as harsh and cruel but probably more realistic than most films. Great cast including Lee Majors in an early role.
