I don't know what's going to happen, but I can't help but feel that if Hamas tries to keep power, there will be a popular revolt.

I think enough is enough for any people regardless of their beliefs.

They elected Hamas to lead them. They want this.

 
Hell, killing the opposition is how they came to power in the first place. The place is not worth saving....Carpet bomb it....clear away the rubble, build condos....Profit.
Carpet bombing is not possible. Bombing the remaining structures might take a few hours.

Isreal doesn't have bombers to do "carpet bombing".

If Hamas disarms as it must to continue the ceasefire, its enemies will destroy it, and if Israel has to disarm it than Israel will destroy them. Either way, Hamas will soon be gone, however if Hamas is destroyed by other Palestinians and replace with a strong leader, there may still be some hope for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
