The Army is Changing the name of Fort Bragg in North Carolina because it is named for a Confederate. The new name will be Fort Liberty on June 2nd, 2023.

Does that mean Alvin Bragg will change his name to Alvin Liberty?

Liberals are the party of slavery and segregation. They continue today but they have it disguised ie minorities, race, color, ethnicities. They package each group into their little bouquet and promise them goodies to keep them down.

Ft Bragg was named after Braxton Bragg
Bragg was a traitor as were Lee, Hood, Stewart, Polk…..

Time to stop honoring Confederates
Who were pardoned and welcomed back to full citizenship. You seem to always forget that.

According to Progs the founding fathers were traitors. And you stopped honoring them.
"Traitor" or "Founding Father" depends solely on who wins. They do the same things.

So
We returned their citizenship
Doesnt mean we honor their military actions against the US

If the South had won the war, I would understand them honoring their heroes

Like I said, it all depends on who won. They are the same people who did the same things.

We're not honoring their military actions, we are acknowledging history and learning from it instead of simply sweeping it under the rug and pretending it doesn't exist because it's icky. And it's all the more critical to take a hard look at the reasons behind the war, the way it started, and how it played out because "they" and "us" are the same people. Brother against brother.

Their political stance and actions were in no way being honored.
What's being honored is they were great military leaders and tacticians.
Which is why their battlefield strategies are taught to officer cadets at West Point military school.

Other than having an historic Unibrow, what made Braxton Bragg a great military leader?

It's a time honored tradition around the world for military men to grudgingly honor an enemy soldier for his acumen and bravery on the battlefield.
German general Erwin Rommel of WWll fame is a perfect example of this.

Why don’t we have US Army bases named after Rommel?
