Why would a Door Dash or Uber Eats delivery person be knocking on someone's door with a food order if they live in a APT BUILDING??

I thought they called u to come outside to give it to you at the front door? I was home relaxing tonight watching TV and I hear this knock on my door. Then I said........"was that a knock?? Then I heard it again. I go to the door and open it and she is standing there with a McDonalds bag and had the wrong ******* apt. But why was she in the building anyway? Whoever she was delivering to was just as stupid too. They dont have a person call them on their cell?

It was decades before DoorDash and Uber, but back in the 80s I moonlighted at Domino's delivering pizza. I always took it right to thier apartment door. Why wouldn't you?

I get the impression that you don't get many knocks on the door, so when it does happen it freaks you out or something.

Did u get a big tip for doing all that?

I get the impression that you don't get many knocks on the door,

Well, if all you heard from your neighbor
were screams and the sounds of a
chain saw, you wouldn't be keen
on knocking on their door
neither.... :smoke:

I made good tips. I did better than the other drivers. And I was driving my red 1976 Trans Am that I loved to drive. Sure, every once in a while you'll get a Mr. Pink who just doesn't believe in tipping, but most people were generous, especially the women. I got minimum wage + tips. So the majority of my pays was tips, in cash. And of course I reported every penny to the IRS.

It wasn't like today. Now most places want you to pay by credit card, or they won't deliver it. Back in the 80's Domino's guaranteed delivery in 30 minutes or less from the time you call to the time it was delivered to your door, or you got $3 off. And it would be free if it took more than 45 minutes. And everybody paid cash back then.

I dont think a woman should be delivering at 9pm at night and definitely not going inside a building she dont live in

I don’t order food deliveries that often, but every time I have, the delivery person knocked on my door and handed me the food. And I live in an apartment

That’s how it works

They come to your door in my area whether you live in a house or an apartment. I know this mainly because the bastards are constantly blocking my driveway when they get out to deliver to the folks across the road who use them just about every damn meal.

I am sure she was sorry for DOING HER ******* JOB. This is what you are whining about? Get a life.

She may have been chewed out for not bringing it to the door... I would tip her bigger for bringing it to me...

Hope you had your pistol when answering the door.
