I was asking that very thing all through the Obama administration....It is true that we don't do things the proper way any more, but that isn't something new because Trump....My guess is that the Democrats were playing politics with the package, and the Senate went around them....

1. People that are still working, and bringing home a paycheck (and thus aren't affected)...

2. People that have been laid off, and (with the extra $600/wk added to their unemployment) are now making more by sitting at home than they did by working...

3. And, finally, Democrats that don't get a paycheck because THEY REFUSE TO WORK AND SUBSIST ON GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE (WHICH HAS NOT BEEN CUT OFF)!!!

The only people who have been damaged are the small business owners and the people who are making generous salaries (who the Democrats don't want to help)!!!

Actually, the first stimulus check was understandable, since you had a lot of confusion, and people that had recently lost their jobs were trying to pay bills while they tried to get unemployment...

But now that workers have been "made whole" (or are in an even better position than before), it should be time to take a serious look at helping the small business owners, where they can afford to open back up and stay open...

Whaaa, I was a small business owner for 35 years and NEVER had any relief from the govt. to start my business back up after a recession and I still lived to tell about it...Those greedy repubs that want the govt. to subsidize their business operations are no better than the Democrats on welfare. I think the only wrong thing about the stimulus is it was only 1 round, which isn't enough. Another 2 grand for the same people who got round 1 is necessary.
