The root cause of immigration is the wanton drug use in America, which has so corrupted those countries south of the border that the victimized and oppressed citizens are forced to flee if they are to have any chance of a productive life. The irony is that their first choice is the very country responsible for their plight. Most politicians view drug users as victims instead of active participants in the drug trade. It also escapes them that the users of drugs supply every dollar that flows into the coffers of the cartels and others involved.
