Why? I asked that to myself many times when something tragic like this happen.
I'm not sure if anyone can specifically answer your question but I agree the world is messier than ever.
I traveled many many countries b/c of businesses last 25 years and I witnessed the transformation of how our world becoming more violent than ever.
IMOE as I viewed not just in this country but around the globe.
Big contributions are. More guns available than ever, drugs can be easily manufacture, terrorist groups are bigger and better than ever, criminals and other illegal activities are more sophisticated, more people but less space, people are less healthier, more competitions.
Then you have the Internet and better technology that plays a big role in making most of these to happen. That's my 2cents.
