Why is Canada even allowed in American Baseball?

MLB has a National League and an American League. Canada doesn't fit either one. From what I could gather all the Jay's players were from someplace else.

I have no use for the Dodgers but anyone who beat the Jays tickles me to death.

Odd though, I'd not mind seeing a Japanese MLB team. ;)

At least the Expos died.

It's because they are the 51st state obviously.
 
I wonder if there ever was a Japanese MLB team if they would allow themselves to be bastardized with "Gaijin", you know, those of non-Japanese birth?

Toronto is located so deep into the lower 48 that it might as well be part of it.
Toronto is just plain huge, that's why

It's like its own country or something.
