Wow! Earlier this week a 95 year old woman beat to death her 89 year old room mate with a foot support from a wheelchair, leaving the dead victim and the perpetrator covered in blood, when caregivers at the nursing home facility, came in, seeing the victim dead in the bed and the the old woman that assaulted her, trying to clean the blood off her clothes in the bathroom.

There is no mention of any criminal history of the 83 year old, in the article I read:

This is an old man with no criminal history. No one expected him to do this. It was impossible to avoid.

He wasn’t a young man with a long history of attacks who should NEVER have been on that train.

That tragedy could have easily been avoided.

I am learning more than I ever wanted to know about the way old people's heads work (or don't work). This is everything from memory, to reasoning, to excitability and yes, physically lashing out. Now seen two violent stories in one week in national news. No telling, how many do not cross from small market hometown news to national news entries. Weapons, ammo, blades, even cigarette lighters are on lockdown here.

I am thinking the story was out of New York. But, that means nothing, when discussing violent actions of the extreme aged. The regular rules no long apply, as they are not long for this world, anyway, and they know it, so responsibility and fear of repercussions of actions, simply cease to apply. This is a fact, whether red state or blue state. I advise you not to intentionally get in to it with an old person, if you can avoid it.

In one case, A property manager and tenant get into a heated altercation about a senior apartment inspection and the 83 year old tenant pulls a knife and attacks her. She successfully defends herself because he's a weak feeble octogenarian. He is charged with second degree attempted murder. She'll be OK.

The victim in the other case won't be OK. She's dead. She was brutally murdered by a career criminal racist Negro hood rat simply for being white.
