The spendthrift Democrats who have HISTORICALLY been in favor of increasing the national debt with gifts to underserving lazy people are as their breeding fighting the
efforts to reduce Federal spending especially for totally wasteful expenses!
And the general public, MSM and Democrats blame GOP.
BUT when you look at the causes of national debt increase, while it generally increases under a Republican president, the cause is the legislation that a Democrat Congress passes
that takes place then under a GOP president. As a result uninformed people that support Democrats blame GOP for increasing the national debt. BUT who wrote the bills in the short years before the GOP president took office that CAUSED the massive debt increases?
So today Trump et.al. are recognizing what few if any people are aware of... we've reached the point where the USA economy has to explode dramatically and our government expenses be if possible reduced and at least not INCREASE!
President Joe Biden and the Republican-controlled House of Representatives appear to be on a collision course over raising the statutory limit on the national debt.
House Republicans say they want Biden to accept significant (but unspecified) spending cuts in exchange for raising the limit.
But the president has insisted that raising the limit – which allows the government to continue paying its obligations under the law on time – shouldn’t be a budgetary bargaining chip

One claim circulating widely on social media, prompted by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, posits that former President Donald Trump contributed more to the debt than any other in the White House occupant in history.
But that isn’t quite right — and experts say the issue is much more nuanced than a political talking point might let on.
Here are the facts.
CLAIM: Trump “ran up more debt than any other President in American history.”
AP’S ASSESSMENT: That’s incorrect. The debt incurred during the Trump era was very high. But in terms of raw dollars, the total debt rose more under former President Barack Obama, with Trump in second place — though Obama held office for two terms, while Trump served one.
But the debt accumulated under specific presidents isn’t just a result of their own policies —
it reflects decisions made by their predecessors as well as by members of Congress.
“The point is that fiscal policy reflects joint action by Congress and the president,” said David Primo, a University of Rochester professor of political science and business administration. Statements like Jeffries’ imply presidents have sole control over fiscal policy, he noted.

In conclusion then... Democrats leave a mess in Congress that GOP has to clean up and in doing so acting as parents... have to pay the bills!
