We’d have to bomb the city to suppress the defenses. That’s not going to happen with liberals in control of congress and the White House. They condemn the Isrealis for shooting at people launching rockets, missiles and mortar fire at civilians, they sure aren’t going to allow harm to be done to Afghani civilians being used a human shields by Taliban troops.

Only some countries give us the embassy, otherwise we are just borrowing it and can get kicked out any time.
Nor would any agreement from the previous government be valid any more, since they are all gone now.

It's really funny from my German point of view that since 20 years the Taliban were unified and armed from the western world. They have now for example much more combat helicopters than we have in Germany. The weapon industry made a big deal. The drug dealers made a big deal. And after the Taliban wan against Russia and the USA China seems now to be next. My mother - she may rest in peace in the arms of god - had described such a "strategy" with "Some people destroy with their asses what others build high with their hands". And I had sarcastically said to her "... with their blood, mama. I this case 'with their blood'". Now - after we had "evacuated" our soldiers some short time ago - we will have to try to evacuate a minimum of 10,000 people from Afghanistan, which we forgot there. Pray for our people who try to do so. And if your prayers will be so mighty that we will be able to evacuate 100,000 or even more then it's also okay.
