They demand states dictate so much of their laws, why on this ONE ISSUE does the left demand FEDERAL LAW RULE?

Blue states now have LOOSER abortion laws than the FEDERAL LAWS.

HOW DID WOMEN IN CALIFORNIA LOSE RIGHTS WHEN FEDERAL ABORTION LAW WAS GIVEN TO THE STATES?

Fake news?

Abortion laws are not by State?

Huh?

The problem for me is

Some states have no exceptions (other than the life of the mother)

No exceptions for rape and incest

Hard to imagine

The darker blue the the state; the more it adheres to Communist doctrine.
Where everyone must think and believe exactly the same.
A utopian paradise where people share equally in the misery of having nothing and owning nothing.

Never Been in Any state that Every one believes the same thing.
You can use voting, Some states lean largely in one direction or the other, But NEVER Near ALL.

I happen to agree with you, but lots of states have laws people do not agree with, as well as higher or lower taxes, etc.

If those laws are very important, one can move.

Lots of people who live weed moved to Colorado after 2012, for example.

Additionally, one can go to another state to get an abortion.

Regular weed is illegal in Florida, but I can go to Colorado and buy it legally

Seems weird to compare taxes and weed with abortion

Saying that you can cross state lines is like saying that uninsured people can always go to the emergency room

Not a winning argument for me

Found out some states have laws that penalize individuals who help a person travel for an abortion

You are making a morality judgment and you may live anywhere.

I support abortion for R&I. If those laws are important to someone, they have the freedom to move.

States have different geography and weather as well.

I hated the cold in Colorado and no ocean, so I moved back to Florida

My problem with abortion laws differing state by state is how it essentially establishes that "personhood" (when the legal protections begin) will also vary state by state.

I challenge the Constitutionality of that.

When the SCOTUS ruled that something that is inarguably only a human/ legal construct like "marriage" must be uniform and NOT vary state by state. . .

How is it that the most essential legal definition of all (personhood) CAN be determined state by state?

What kind of fucktarded fascist believes that "personhood" for any human being is "only" what the people decide it is, on a State-by-State basis?

Let the voters in each state decide. Nobody can lose in that scenario. And thats what exists now that roe is gone. Issue has been resolved with only a moral outcome.

Care to share that Communist Doctrine?

And some States wrote their laws so that a woman can abort the second before birth as long as 1 doctor signs off that the woman's health is at risk.

Not life, health, and they don't define health.

I frankly dont care on this issue. I have no dog in the fight. So keep on arguing.

Your right to life saving medical treatments shouldn't vary depending on which state you live in. A woman has a right to life that is greater than that of the unborn child she is carrying. HER interests should come first.

Deaths in pregnancy and child birth are already higher for American women that for any women in the first world. Deaths in pregnancy and child birth are double and triple the national average in states with abortion bans.

Death and deaths bother you?

In addition to that, if you're a woman and you enjoy sex, you should be able to have it whenever you want.

I know that some of the men in the audience could not fathom such a thing but yeah guys, it's true, women enjoy sex.
