I feel their pain. Hopefully they wake up and make better choices.

This will be MN pretty soon. Timmy is spending every dime he can borrow.
Civics 101 show me where it Feds job to heat your house

I agree that issues should be handled at the lowest level of government, if at all. Money for heating homes certainly doesn't meet my expectations of the federal government.

I believe a fairer tax system could lower federal tax rates drastically and permit state and local to better address their own taxes to meet the needs approved by their constituents.

They’re going to learn the hard way.

Gee, if the democrats didn't wage a war on energy, heat might be affordable to these folks without raiding other taxpayer's wallets. Common sense is not common anymore.

It isn't the gov't's job to ensure that your house is heated. The infrastructure is there. It isn't MY responsibility to make sure YOUR house is heated OR that you are fed, housed, receive medical care or transportation.

Leave it to you to invoke a tired, disingenuous old talking point.

This is a case of government filling a constituent need. It's what government is supposed to do. Maybe it could do more if legacy energy companies weren't getting $38B per year in subsidies.

BTW, I lived in MA for 37 years. What a great place to live. I still miss it.

Please link to ANYWHERE in the constitution where the gov't is tasked with providing you with ANYTHING for your PERSONAL needs. Do you not know the meaning of "general welfare"

Stupidity

We used to get a lot of them here in South Florida until we put up signs at the Welcome Centers that read, "Clean Restrooms"
???????????????????????????

Even if the government is responsible for heating assistance, and it isn't, it would be the states responsibility, not the feds's.
