Although Egyptian intelligence agencies continue to talk with Hamas, as they did under former President Hosni Mubarak and Mr. Morsi, Cairo’s new animosity toward the group has called into question the effectiveness of that channel, especially after the response to Egypt’s first proposal.

As a result, Secretary of State John Kerry turned to the more Islamist-friendly states of Qatar and Turkey as alternative mediators — two states that grew in regional stature with the rising tide of political Islam after the Arab Spring, and that have suffered a degree of isolation as that tide has ebbed.

But that move has put Mr. Kerry in the incongruous position of appearing to some analysts as less hostile to Hamas — and thus less supportive of Israel — than Egypt or its Arab allies.

But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is sure that Qatar and Turkey are the biggest supporters of Hamas. It’s impossible to rely on them to be fair mediators.

The reply of BO was the following : I trust Qatar and Turkey. Israel is not in the position that it can choose its mediators.

BN: I protest because Hamas can continue to launch rockets and use tunnels for terror attacks –

BO: (interrupting Netanyahu) The ball’s in Israel’s court, and it must end all its military activities.

So you see how our authorities are offended with failing the scenario of Arabic Spring?

Because their are more fanatical radical terrorist groups in Gaza than Hamas, and they don't want a power vacuum in the region which will allow them to take over the position Hamas occupies..

Doesn't take a lot to believe the US is siding against Israel because Israel isn't selling them any oil, but the Arabs are. Bush family ties to the bin Laden family are well documented. And US support of Arab countries who sell us oil has to be considered when asking why the US would side against Israel.

If oil suppliers to the US got sick of our support for Israel and cut us off (again) it'd represent a fundamental shift of power. I remember gas ration lines as a kid. If we support Israel too much, it's only a matter of time before Arab countries give us the finger and sell instead to Russia, China, and our defacto opposition. I'd therefore consider what they say and do are often going to be different. Very political to give Israel $225 billion for arms, while simultaneously appeasing Arab oil suppliers by condemning Israel's use of those weapons.

If the US was not aiding the israelis then why did we give them the munitions they just ask for?

Everyone have their own interests, when mutual interests tie together - you become friends.

You also have no link to back up your assertions...

Can you post here yours , please?

For us to know about more dangerous terrorist groups than Hamas.
I can not imagine more cruel and bloodthirsty organisation , which is not ready even to reach a negotiated cease-fire even after more than three weeks of bloodshed.

I agree with you that our authorities play politics of dual standards. And it's not a matter of grace! This dishonest way will lead to the outraging war sooner or later.

But I'm a little bit confused about selling oil to Russia and China. I thought they have enough of this black gold on their territories, haven't they?

And what about close connections between families of Bush and Osama bin Laden ? What a nonsense! Never heard about it! But I remember about Barry's brother Malik, who is involved with Hamas group.

Not to regard their true intentions. Yup !

And also to held the position of sister of mercy in the world eye. :eusa_pray:
