JMHO - It's just a fad. A decade ago, the Hollywood jet set embraced the Kabballah, a decade before that it was 2 girls holding hands as they walked down the halls in school, before that it was the grunge look. 5 years from now they'll be off to something else.

Western women adopting hijabs and thinking Islam is good, won't think that way when Islam takes over and implements Sharia. Under Sharia, they cease being equals to men. They become second-class citizens in their own nations and in many Islamic nations, don't even rise to the category of being second-class.
Afghanistan is one of the more extreme examples. The women are no longer allowed to even talk to each other or leave the home.
